ABOUT
Hello and Welcome!
I’m Michael, an American expat living in Germany, with a passion for travel, and a goal to visit every country on the planet. From iconic tourist destinations to the remote corners of the globe, I’m all about stepping outside of my comfort zone to discover new experiences, meet incredible people and create unforgettable memories. My hope is to inspire you to take that leap and explore the world – one adventure at a time!
How It All Began
I grew up in Midwest of the United States, with most of my early life spent living in Missouri. I always had an interest in traveling, exploring historical places and trying new things, but realized this would not be possible to fulfill, following a traditional track of life. At 18, I accepted a unique position far outside of my comfort zone that led me across the Atlantic to Europe shortly after.
At first, I found great pleasure in exploring the classical staple cities of London, Paris, Rome, Prague, etc. that everyone dreams of. But something shifted after a promise I made to a dear friend who passed away. That promise became the catalyst for something far greater than I could have imagined. It began with a challenge: each year, I would step outside my comfort zone and try something I would never have considered. The first year, I ran a full marathon in Athens, something that, at the time, felt nearly impossible. The next year, I planned my first solo trip to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, quickly discovering my passion of exploring less traveled places. From there, it became a series of challenges and goals—50 countries, then 80, and ultimately 100. With each new place, story, and experience, I found myself shaping not just a collection of passport stamps, but a life that had purpose and meaning. The world transformed into my playground, and I was just getting started. I made a bold decision to visit every country in the world — and from that moment, the adventure truly began.
I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and the people I’ve met along the way. Follow your passion, manage the risk, and the rest will follow.

Where I've Been
Since 2016, I’ve been traveling all over the globe exploring so many amazing places and meeting incredible people along the way.
Living in Germany
Being a car enthusiast at heart, cruising down the autobahn with no speed limits has always been at the forefront of the benefits of living in Germany. Making road trips to historic castles and charming villages just further adds to the adventure. From world famous beer festivals in Munich and Stuttgart to the finest Rieslings in the Rhine Valley, every event is a celebration of culture, history, and flavor. Plus, with its central location, hopping on a train to Paris, Prague or the Alps is as easy as raising a stein in a crowded beer hall. Prost to effortless European exploration!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
